Calle Ocho Festival

Calle Ocho Festival (SW 8th Street – from SW 27th Avenue to SW 8th Avenue, Little Havana, Miami) – this mega street event, held every March, is a celebration of the Miami area’s Hispanic community, which many would argue make up the majority of the city’s population. Outdoor stages are set up for live performances by major Latin musicians and singers, performing all genres of Latin music: from Salsa, to Merengue, Bachata, Samba, Cumbia, Reggaeton and Mexican Ranchero music. At least a million spectators typically show up for this event. See the event organizers’ website for more details: www.carnavalmiami.com/
